Exploring Paris on foot

Eiffel Tower

Last year, I had the incredible opportunity to wander through the enchanting streets of Paris, and I must say, it was a mesmerizing experience. The city’s rich history, iconic landmarks, and vibrant culture left an indelible mark on my heart. If you’re planning a trip to this magical city, let me guide you through some of the must-visit places and experiences that will make your visit truly unforgettable.

Getting Around the City

Paris offers an amazing public transportation system, making it easy to get around. When it comes to accommodation, consider staying near a train or Tube station for convenient access to the city’s attractions. Alternatively, you can choose the city center, which offers a central location for exploring Paris. Personally, I opted for Airbnb, which provided a cozy and authentic experience.

Disneyland Paris

One of the highlights of my trip was a visit to Disneyland Paris. If you’ve never been to Disneyland before, I highly recommend spending a day or two at this magical theme park. You can choose from one-day or two-day packages. To save on your visit, consider booking tickets directly from the Disneyland website or look for great deals on reputable third-party websites like Picniq. The whimsical world of Disney is a delightful escape that appeals to visitors of all ages.

The Iconic Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is undoubtedly one of the most iconic landmarks in the world. Whether you’re admiring it from a cozy restaurant or ascending to the top for a breathtaking view, the Eiffel Tower is a must-visit. Due to its immense popularity, it’s wise to book your tickets in advance to avoid long queues. The view from the top is nothing short of spectacular.

Cruise Along the Seine

For a different perspective of the city, consider taking a cruise along the Seine River. You don’t need to book this in advance; simply visit any cruise counter and choose a suitable time for your excursion. While you wait for your cruise, explore the nearby TROCADERO AND PASSY, located just 0.1 miles from the Eiffel Tower. This area boasts museums, restaurants, and stunning views to pass the time as you await your evening cruise. Additionally, don’t miss the Montparnasse Tower, which offers an equally mesmerizing view of the city center, complete with a view of the Eiffel Tower.

The Arc de Triomphe

The Arc de Triomphe stands proudly at the western end of Champs-Élysées. This iconic monument honors those who fought and died for France during the revolutionary wars, with the names of French victories and generals inscribed on its inner and outer surfaces. A visit here is a testament to the city’s rich history.

Avenue des Champs-Élysées

Shopaholics, take note! Avenue des Champs-Élysées is the ultimate shopping destination, featuring a wide array of fashion brands. Strolling down this famous avenue is a shopping experience like no other.

The Louvre Museum

No visit to Paris would be complete without exploring the Louvre Museum. Home to the iconic Mona Lisa, this museum offers an incredible aesthetic experience. The good news is that many museums in the city offer free admission for those under 25, and even for those above 25, the price of admission is very reasonable.

Exploring on Foot

One of the best ways to truly absorb the beauty of Paris is by walking. While the city’s public transportation is excellent, I found that exploring on foot allowed me to stop and appreciate the beauty of the city at my own pace. It’s also an excellent way to stay active while on vacation.

In just three days, you can cover all these incredible places and experiences in Paris, depending on your itinerary. With its captivating history, world-class attractions, and delightful culinary scene, Paris is a city that will leave you enchanted and eager to return for more. So, plan your trip, savor the moments, and let the magic of Paris unfold before you.
