6 best Picnic spots to get to this weekend

If you haven’t gone for a picnic this summer then you should plan for one right away before the summer kisses goodbye… 🙈
I have been to some of the places near and around Feltham area (London) which are perfect for an outing maintaining the mandatory social distancing.
Some people have started going for short trips but personally I feel it’s okay to be at home & explore our surroundings for some more time and take things a bit slow… 🙂

Here are 6 best places for a picnic and even better if you have kids. I saw a lot of families coming with kids and enjoying:

  1. Bedfont lakes country park
The place is in Feltham, perfect for anyone especially in Hounslow and Feltham area. Amazing for a getaway in these unprecedented times, maintaining the social distancing. The area is huge, has a lake, play area for kids.
So, go ahead for an amazing picnic with your friends, family or make it a romantic getaway with your partner. 😉
If you have kids, make sure to carry a kite, football or you can even plan cricket game with friends.
  2. Richmond-upon-Thames – River Side
Well, its not exactly a park but a nice place to hang out by the river.
This a perfect place for a picnic with a river side view and ducks. A perfect spot for spending time with your loved ones.
  3. Bushy Park
Now, this is a perfect park for a picnic. It’s an attraction not just a regular park, I guess. There are cafes for visitors which aren’t regularly open due to current situation.
It’s part of Royal parks, you can get all the information about the park on their website as well.
There are many parks under Royal Parks. So, do visit the website you might find some other parks worth visiting as well.
  4. King George’s Field
It’s a small park on Feltham road with a play area for kids.
It’s a nice place to spend your evening with kids.
  5. Crane Park
This is a huge park surrounded by Crane river. It’s in Twickenham actually but a very nice place.
They also do workshops for family learning. I didn’t explore much as we went there only for a walk but if you have kids then you could find more on this website.
  6. Blenheim Park
Well, if you live in Feltham then you would most probably know about this one.
It might not be for a picnic but It has a track, so very nice area for cycling, walking or running. So, head there with your kids or alone and start some cardio right away.

I really hope this will help you plan your long weekend in case you are planning to stay at home.
Hoping the weather holds out (fingers crossed). So, start planning your weekend now… 😊
Stay happy Stay Safe 😃
