A budget luxury trip to Antalya, Türkiye

Türkiye (previously known as Turkey), a country brimming with beauty, culture, and delectable cuisine, has captured the hearts of travelers worldwide. From the enchanting landscapes of Cappadocia, known for its mesmerizing hot air balloons, to the stunning terraces of Pamukkale, and the vibrant city of Istanbul, there is no shortage of captivating destinations to explore. Among these treasures lies Antalya, a city that beckons with its sun-kissed beaches and rich history. Today, let me take you on a journey to Antalya and unveil the typical costs for a luxurious budget trip from London, as well as some insider tips to enhance your experience.

First and foremost, the beauty of planning a trip to Türkiye for British passport holders is the absence of visa requirements. However, if you hold an Indian passport with a UK residence permit, obtaining an e-visa is a breeze, requiring just a few minutes of your time and a fee of £34 per person.

When it comes to transportation, round-trip plane tickets from London to Antalya can generally be secured for approximately £200 per person if booked in advance. For the ultimate indulgence, consider traveling between April and September, when the weather is delightful and the summer spirit is at its zenith. However, if you seek a balance between luxury and cost efficiency, targeting the end of March or the beginning of October may yield more favorable rates for all-inclusive luxury resorts.

During our memorable excursion, we had the pleasure of staying at the exquisite “Porto Bello Hotel Resort & Spa,” situated just a stone’s throw away from the mesmerizing Konyaalti beach. Immerse yourself in the lap of luxury as you unwind in the hotel’s lavish amenities and experience impeccable hospitality that will leave you truly pampered. Let me share with you the delightful details of our stay that made it truly unforgettable.

The resort offers a range of room options, each promising comfort and convenience. For those seeking a touch of luxury, we opted for a double room with a balcony, allowing us to soak in breathtaking views of the beach right from the comfort of our own room. Trust me when I say it was worth every penny. Waking up to the gentle sound of waves and witnessing the sun kiss the horizon from our balcony created an idyllic start to each day.
Speaking of prices, we secured this delightful room for just £307 for a four-night stay, accommodating two people. What’s even better is that this package included access to the resort’s extensive array of amenities. Picture yourself enjoying invigorating workouts at the gym, indulging in relaxation sessions at the sauna, experiencing the ultimate Turkish bath, and taking refreshing dips in the inviting indoor swimming pool. And when it comes to meals, we were spoiled with a delectable range of options, from sumptuous breakfast spreads to delightful dinners, all included in the package.

But hold on, there’s more! One of the most incredible aspects of our stay was the unlimited drinks on offer until midnight. Yes, you read that right. Sipping on your favorite beverages as you unwind by the pool or socialize with fellow guests creates an atmosphere of pure bliss.
And let’s not forget the unexpected excitement that comes with the events that happen every evening in the resort.

Now, let’s talk about a must-visit destination near Antalya – the world-famous Pamukkale. Located approximately 3 hours away by road, Pamukkale is a sight to behold with its striking white terraces and thermal pools. To make this excursion even more convenient, we booked a private cab for the round trip, which cost us around £110. The comfort and flexibility of having our own transportation allowed us to explore Pamukkale at our own pace, ensuring we didn’t miss any of its breathtaking beauty.

However, if you prefer a more budget-friendly option or prefer to travel in a group, fret not! Antalya offers a range of one-day tours to Pamukkale that are not only cost-efficient but also provide you with the convenience of an organized itinerary. These tours typically include transportation, guided visits to the attractions, and even some free time to soak in the magical atmosphere of Pamukkale. So, whether you choose to embark on a private adventure or join a group tour, experiencing the splendor of Pamukkale from Antalya is an absolute must.

Oh, and let me tell you about our thrilling scuba diving adventure in the mesmerizing Mediterranean Sea! For just £45 per person, we dove into the crystal-clear waters, ready to explore the vibrant marine life beneath the surface. Now, I must admit, if you’re planning to visit Antalya in March, I’d advise against scuba diving. It can get quite chilly, and trust me, shivering underwater is not the ideal way to enjoy this incredible experience. But hey, if you’re visiting during the warmer months, don’t miss out on this exhilarating activity. Check out the video linked below to witness our own scuba diving escapade in Antalya. It’s an absolute must-watch!

Let’s not forget about exploring the wonders of Antalya and its surrounding areas. To make the most of our time, we decided to hire a cab for the day, and boy, was it a great decision! For around £80, we had the convenience of having a dedicated driver who whisked us away to all the famous tourist spots in and around Antalya. From the mesmerizing Duden Waterfalls to the charming streets of Kaleici, our friendly cab driver ensured we didn’t miss a single highlight.
And the cherry on top? He even dropped us off at the airport at the end of our trip, making our journey hassle-free from start to finish.

So, as you can see, it’s possible to enjoy the wonders of Türkiye even on a budget. Our entire luxury trip, with all its lavish accommodations and fantastic experiences, came to around £1000 for two. That’s right, an unforgettable adventure without breaking the bank! Of course, if you’re looking to save some extra cash, you can opt for regular hotels or cozy Airbnb stays and join group tours instead of hiring private taxis.

If you haven’t experienced the magic of this amazing country yet, consider this your sign to book those tickets right away. Türkiye has so much to offer, from its breathtaking landscapes to its rich cultural heritage and mouthwatering cuisine. Whether you’re exploring the ancient wonders of Istanbul, marveling at the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia, or relaxing on the stunning beaches of Antalya, every moment will be filled with joy and discovery.

So pack your bags, grab your camera, and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime in Türkiye. Trust me, you won’t regret it. Book your tickets now, and let the excitement begin!
